Indeed you do. The map is more than twice as large as Most Wanted and you get to do as much Free Roam as you like without cops trying to catch you. Of course, you can go into Pursuit events to be chased if that's your sort of thing. Or, you could enter Sprint, Circuit or Drag events. All events win you money and XP, along with modifications.

Modifications? Is your mother a woman? Oh yes, there are tons of modifications. All sorts of mechanical upgrades and visual upgrades, although personally I like keeping my cars looking stock with a nice paint job. That said, I did try to give a Lexus LFA a Martini livery. Didn't go well...

And the best part? IT'S FREE.

Well. Free to download and play, but many modifications and cars need real money to be bought. However, you can play it the slow way and win modifications, aftermarket parts and sometimes even cars. They just released a code today to mark 1.5million fans on Facebook, and you get a free car. Great fun.

Of course there is! It can be a great online community if you find the right people, but just beware of the more immature bunch who type in single letters and accuse you immediately of cheating.

Got a Challenger, then got an Audi A1 Clubsport Quattro for the code today. Not bad, except the Audi is too beautiful to modify and the Challenger is not even a third as powerful, so why bother?

All I know is it's killing me that the Ford Lotus Cortina isn't available without spending real money. :(

Used to play with my buddies. Had an Evo, an Elise and a 240SX. Unfortunately gameplay was kinda rubbish, community was decidedly meh and the powerups make a mockery of racing.

Is it any better nowadays?

The Audi's got stonking performance though. If you manage a perfect launch, the acceleration is very quick. If you're a good driver, it'll easily win the Rosewood Rally. I should know, I've do it all the time.

Personally, I don't use the powerups that often (honest!) because I believe in skill rather than Juggernaut. I absolutely refuse to use Traffic Magnet because I just see that as being totally unfair.

Community? Well, you've still got the immature idiots running around making their cars look like a Picasso inspired anaphylactic shock but it's not that bad...

No, any parts you win should stay in your inventory...

Are you sure you've clicked on the button which changes from Store to Inventory? It's on the top left corner of the list of upgrades/parts. Store is where you buy using mainly Speedboost, Inventory is where all your stuff is kept. Lowering kits and rims are in the Aftermarket section, mechanical upgrades are in Performance.
